Instructor: Kate Bromley, LMT, RPE
This class is part of the Associate Polarity Practitioner (APP) certification study of Polarity Therapy and can be taken as a continuing education class separate from certification. It includes some wonderful energy protocols that are easy to add into your practice and combine with other types of bodywork.
We will review the chakras, 5 elements, body zones and relationships, the five and six pointed stars and the three principles of Air, Fire and Water. Bodywork sessions include two routines working with the relaxing energy of the chakras. The Oval Balance protocol introduces myofascial connections and cavities of the body. This routine helps to balance the energy in each oval and supports the organs and endocrine glands located in each oval.
The Immune Booster Protocol directs energy to stimulate major endocrine glands and balances and strengthens the immune system. The Air, Fire and Water Principle Protocols support the movement of the three major currents of energy in the body.. Come prepared to give and receive some very interesting and effective Polarity bodywork protocols.
What is Polarity Therapy? Polarity Therapy is a unique blend of bodywork, exercise and self-awareness that works with the human energy field. Polarity Therapy bodywork uses specific contact points to help balance and stimulate the body's electromagnetic fields. The client and practitioner work together to design sessions that work on the physical, mental, emotional levels in a safe environment.
Polarity Therapy bodywork can easily be incorporated into other styles of bodywork and can be a very useful tool in helping clients be more aware of their physical body and energy body. The type of touch used ranges from very light to deep, making it a versatile tool for anyone doing touch therapies.
Polarity Therapy was developed by Dr. Randolph Stone (1890-1981), a pioneer in holistic healthcare. Dr. Stone held degrees in osteopathic, naturopathic and chiropractic medicine. He studied and tested health theories from around the world for over 60 years, successfully combining ancient and modern theories and techniques.
