Are you interested in adding to your massage skills with the feet? Would you like a change of pace for your body or mind? This is a great chance to learn about reflexology through RECEIVING, giving, and learning about the theory and practice of reflexology.
This will be an in-person event in the beautiful art district of Langley, WA on Whidbey Island. It will be held in a large room with high ceilings and good ventilation. We will wear masks throughout the class and generally will be separated with 6 feet of distance from one another.
The art and science of reflexology does wonders to help reduce body-wide stress and foot pain, and to encourage optimal health. Reflexology is a deeply healing modality applied primarily to the feet, hands, ears and face. Its effects on both the practitioner and the client are very powerful and far-reaching. Facilitating a sense of deep connection and harmony within the recipient, this science/art helps individuals become more internally integrated and balanced, enhancing both inner peace and healing potential.
In Introduction to Reflexology you will learn the basic history of reflexology, gain an appreciation for its art and science, learn theories on how it works and its benefits, indications and contraindications. You will leave with a one-hour foot reflexology sequence that will dazzle your clients.
This class will be instructed by Lisa Hensell, recipient of the 2018 Reflexology Association of America's Education Award.
Courses offered through Seattle Reflexology are excellent continuing education opportunities for practicing massage therapists and reflexologists. We bring high-caliber guest instructors from around the world each year to keep our local community well educated and excited about the vast realm of reflexology.
At the end of our classes you will be given a certificate of completion, valid toward state CE requirements for LMTs.
